Easy Payment Budget Plan
The heating season normally runs from September to April, with the major portion of your heating expense occuring between December to February. In that period approximately 60% of your total heating expense will occur. For any home budget this is a big cost and that is why our budget plan makes so much sense.
Our Easy Payment Budget Plan allows you to spread your heating cost over a 10 month period. The payment will start in September and end in June, with a final reconciliation of your account in July. You will have the option of paying at the beginning or the middle of the month. A normal budget plan should run with a credit balance for the majority of the 10 month term (see sample below); and if your account falls into arrears during the budget period (September to June), no interest is charged.
How is my monthly Budget Plan set?
To determine your budget payment, we first estimate your anticipated yearly consumption using the following: past consumption information (if available), the size of your house, and the age of your heating equipment. Using our expertise, we then establish an average price for the upcoming heating season, multiply the two amounts together and divide by 10 to establish your monthly payment. Our goal for every budget plan is to have a zero balance at the end of June.
Budget Plan Payment:
Estimated Yearly Consumption X Average Price ÷10 = Monthly Payment
What if the estimated consumption or average price is set too high or too low?
You can have Peace of Mind knowing we monitor your budget balance to ensure your account is on track to be paid out by June. If required, we can adjust your monthly payments to offset potential problems. We also strongly recommend that you review your monthly statements to ensure you are always aware of the status of your budget balance.
